Good for little kids – Cudmirrah Beach lagoon, Berrara Beach and lagoon, Swan Lake
Surf – The Reef at Cudmirrah beach, Berrara Beach, The Cove
Long walks with the dog – Cudmirrah beach – head north towards Sussex
Long walks without the dog – Berrara Beach south to Mermaids (nice and flat but go at low tide)
Fishermans Rock – walk west along the bush path from the playground at Berrara Creek to Fisherman’s Rock. A good steady walk with many varieties of flora and fauna.
Mermaids – a must do. Start at Berrara Lagoon (low tide is best so you can get across the lagoon) then walk south along level easy to walk on beach 1.5km until you reach a rock shelf and Mermaids Pool which is big enough to swim in. A great walk to do with the kids. Unfortunately no dogs allowed on this beach.
Places to eat
We are located in a remote location so our fine dining options are limited! The kitchens in our accommodation are well equipped so take advantage of this and cook up a storm while you’re here. Nowra Fresh on the way down from Sydney offers great fresh seafood, meat and veggies. SPAR supermarket in Sussex Inlet is open until 7pm most nights so also very handy. Cuddy General Store is a short walk away from us and has a lovely view of Swan Lake.

Milton is great for having a stroll through the shops and eating out. If you have the kids in tow and they are bored, head further south to Mollymook where they can play for hours at the newly built inclusive playground Libby’s Place. For wet days a bit further south in Ulladulla you will find Funland.
