When is the best time to visit Surfside Cudmirrah Beach for the perfect beach holiday?

Cudmirrah Beach is beautiful all year round, it all depends what your idea of the perfect beach holiday is! If you would like to swim during your stay, the best time of year to visit is between November and April with the hottest months being December-February. The Spring months of September and October are usually lovely and sunny. Even if the water is a little brisk, there are lots of sunny nooks on the beach to escape to and recharge after the cold of winter. In May, the air temperature starts cooling down of an evening but the days can still be warm and often warm water currents still remain. June – August is our winter and is great for long invigorating walks on the beach and getting cosy in one of our cabins afterwards!

Can we cook? What cooking facilities are available?

Surfside Cabin 1 (sleeps 6) has a 4 burner gas cooktop in the kitchen, an electric oven, microwave and a gas Weber.

Surfside Cabins 2-5 (sleeps 4) each have 4 burner electric glass cooktops and microwaves in the kitchens and electric Weber Qs on the covered patios that can be used like an oven as they can be set to specific temperatures.

Surfside Caravans 1 – 4 have portable electric cooktops, electric frypans and gas Weber Qs on the covered patios. Cooking can be done outside the caravans in the undercover patio area at the front of each caravan.

Surfside Camping – we have a small covered camp kitchen equipped with an electric BBQ plate, a kitchen sink and a microwave. There is a locked cupboard next to the microwave that contains a kettle and toaster as well as dishwashing liquid and cleaning equipment for you to use. Our camp kitchen does not have a fridge so if you are camping with us you will need to BYO your own fridge or esky and ice.

Can we have an open fire?

Campers may have an open fire during autumn, winter and spring provided there is no fire ban in place. We have raised fire pits for hire at $10 per night that can be booked either after arrival or upon placing your booking. Please BYO your own firewood. Please dispose of your charcoals in the steel container near PS6 before departing and leave the campsite as you found it. No open fires are permitted during the summer season.

Are the properties fully self-contained?

Yes, they are fully equipped and we supply all linen and towels, just BYO beach towels.

Does the property have WiFi?

All of our Surfside Cabins, our Surfside Caravans 1 – 3 and our campsites have access to WIFI at no additional charge. WIFI passwords are provided upon check in.

Is there a minimum stay?

Yes, generally we have a 2 night minimum stay. For school holidays and public holiday long weekends, the minimum stay is 3 nights. For the two weeks over Christmas and New Year we have a minimum 7 night stay.

Is there a laundry?

Surfside Cabins 1-5 are fully equipped with their own washing machine, dryers and clothes lines. For guests staying in our Surfside Caravans and camping, there is a coin operated laundry in the caravan park. The cost is $4 per load (gold coins only).

Where is the closest supermarket?

There is a local SPAR supermarket located in Sussex Inlet which is only a 10 minute drive away. If you are coming to us from Sydney, 40 minutes before you get to us you’ll drive past Nowra Fresh on the highway. It is a great place to stop by to pick up some local fish, meat and vegetables.

How close is the beach?

Surfside Cudmirrah Beach is adjacent to Cudmirrah Beach so you can walk through the caravan park directly onto the beach.

AMAZING location to spend your holidays. I was surprise to know once I checked in that the beach is just walking distance from the caravan. The caravans has all you need, super clean, tidy and the decoration is beautiful. We spent 2 nights, but we will for sure come back and spend many more! The accommodation also has laundry and kitchen facilities if you are camping. Thank you!

Such an awesome place with a friendly host. You can tell the team takes pride in their work. We would love to stay here again and would recommend anyone to experience it for themselves. They even prepared chocolates for us in the fridge. Love the cabin, love the surrounding. Cabin was clean and they provided everything, right up to sanitiser

By far the most picturesque park to stay on the south coast, beach opposite, lagoon, lake kangaroos and nature with Sussex shops and club for dinner only 10 minutes away. My kids are didn’t mention “where is the IPAD once”. Awesome place would love to live there

Highly recommend staying here. We stayed in one of their cabins, beautifully set up and has everything you need. Great little deck to enjoy time outside and inside was very comfortable. Great location, short walk to the beach. Excellent customer service too. We’d happily return.
